You probably know that I'm a contact juggler - of sorts. As in, I have very little to do with holding balls still and thinking that using words like "fluid" and "motion" make me somehow cool. I work mainly with balls, but I don't feel compelled to describe them as "spheres" or "orbs." These days I use black and white acrylic or polycarbonate balls, so I don't even get that glassy stare that suggests too many hours spent caressing clear acrylics in a vaguely disturbing way. I grew out of that a while ago, and developed a fast, dynamic style that is born out of the need to be a performer, rather than just a juggler who relies on his props to impress a crowd. Unique, fun, and good to watch - that's me.

So apart from moaning about how most other contact jugglers are, well, boring, while quite incidentally being an incredibly good contact juggler, I also eat fire, breathe fire, swing poi and staff around like every other hippy, do some reasonably interesting things with yo-yos, try quite hard to juggle more than five balls, spend a fair amount of time on a mountain unicycle, and come up with ground-breaking juggling acts. If you've followed me here from The Purple Mermaid you should know that I will be performing an entirely new act, currently entitled "Collisions," which is unique as far as my extensive research has indicated. Work it out for yourself, or even better, come and support the convention, they're good people and it should be a lot of fun.
